Working as a wedding photographer for the last 13 years has taught me many lessons. One of the most important lessons I've learned is this: it's essential to have an expert second photographer in order for me as a lead to have a successful wedding day.
It's not enough to just know how to photograph people well. Rather, to be an expert second photographer you must know how to photograph every aspect of a wedding day excellently. The importance of nailing tablescape photographs, bridal details, and wedding receptions (in addition to all of the wedding portraits) not only impacts how the client experiences their wedding day after their the fact, but those photographs impact whether or not your work gets published.
When I'm photographing a wedding as a second photographer, I bring the same energy, professionalism, and creative-vigor that I would for my own weddings. My role as your second is to support you and your business, to anticipate your needs as lead, and to produce publication-worthy images.
I currently work in New England and Minnesota but can easily travel anywhere you need me to be!

In addition to shooting my own weddings, I like to collaborate and support my fellow artists - it's at the core of who I am. Second shooting also lets me lean into my creative side a bit more than lead shooting does. While you're taking the shots your clients expect, I'll take on the task of finding different angles and extra-artistic compositions that will add additional variety to their wedding gallery.

My second photography rate starts at $85 per hour and if the event requires plane travel or 1.5+ hours of driving, I require my travel to be covered ($0.66 per mile if driving). If the event requires us to pay for parking, my parking will also need to be covered. My Associate photography rate starts at $250. Cash, Venmo, and Maroo are all accepted.

Hooray, the big day is finally here!! I can't wait to celebrate and capture your clients' wedding with you. It's going to be so much fun! The only thing I need from you is one 64GB SD card that I'll return at the end of the wedding day. If you'd like me to shoot film with you, I can do that as well. Once I'm home, I'll upload my card as a backup, just in case. I require payment within 24 hours but prefer to be paid before I leave the wedding. I accept cash, Venmo, and Maroo.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BFA and have been a working professional artist for 16 years. In addition to being an award-winning lead photographer, I take monthly continuing education classes from the industry's leading experts, am a student of The Develope Academy, Sue Bryce, and Joy Michelle, have a great eye for composition, am an efficient and intentional shooter, can work well under a time crunch, and I can make everyone feel comfortable in front of my lens.
